Roughers for plates and hot strip. Our reversing roughers are ideal for producing aluminum plates and rolling aluminum ingots into transfer bars for subsequent finishing. We often combine our roughers with edgers. If you produce small quantities, you can also use our single-stand compact reversing mill as a finishing stand.
Finishing lines for aluminum hot strip. Transfer bars are rolled to final thickness either in a reversing finishing stand or in a multi-stand tandem mill. What the rolling process on our plants gives you are consistently good profiles, excellent strip flatness, and flawless surfaces. Naturally, you can also rely on close thickness tolerances.
To achieve these results, our stands are equipped with sophisticated technology packages and actuators. Included here are hydraulic adjustments, work roll bending, CVC® plus work roll shifting, and multi-zone cooling. Equally important is our X-Pact® automation system that monitors, controls, and optimizes the entire rolling process.
