Second heavy plate mill for Baosteel
The 4.2-m-mill is the second heavy plate mill which has been delivered to Baosteel within the past three years. The two-stand mill is part of an integrated iron and steel plant, which has been built by the largest Chinese steel producer in the Loujing area in Northern Shanghai in the past years and has replaced the former works complex of Baosteel Group Shanghai Pudong Iron & Steel. The plant is provided with the same technological features as Baosteel's 5-m mill: The finishing stand includes CVC® plus technology, the plate cooling system combines spray and laminar cooling and the cold plate leveler is of 9/5 design.
