We are supplying a single-stand Steckel mill to BSSB (Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Special Steel Branch), China, for the production of high-temperature resistant alloys such as nickel-base and titanium alloys as well as specific special steel grades. Both the CVC® plus technology in the mill stand and the special design concept of the Steckel furnaces deserve mention. As a function of the material properties, different operating modes for coiling the hot strip are possible, which optimize the Steckel process and hence keep low the stress on the rolling stock and loads on the mechanical equipment units.Production data
