Wind of change in exhaust air purification
How the environment benefits. Inevitably, when you cold-roll aluminum, you generate exhaust air contaminated with oil. The rolling oil is mainly in gaseous form and only to a minimal extent suspended in the air as droplets. Mechanical separators or electric filters cannot clean these vapors out of the exhaust air because they only trap impurities in droplet form. In contrast, our Airwashâ„¢ cleaning plants do both. The air purified in this way complies with strict German limits and can safely be released into the atmosphere.
How you benefit. The absorption and rectification process applied in our Airwashâ„¢ system recovers the rolling oil as a residue-free distillate, so you can re-introduce it into the rolling process. That means your investment in an Airwashâ„¢ plant pays off after just a few years. Factors that also boost its cost-effectiveness are the low energy consumption, low disposal costs, efficient plant control, and low maintenance requirement.
