Tailor-made steel strip grades. Steel strip must always feature the right combination of strength and formability. Frequently, the chemical composition of the steel strip is modified by selecting the furnace atmosphere accordingly. Take for instance annealing lines for producing electric strip. Our annealing lines ensure the correct properties. Depending on the temperature-time model, annealing alters the microstructure inside the strip and / or the strip surfaces. The upstream strip cleaning processes and the exactly coordinated processes in our annealing furnaces as well as in the cooling sections produce steel strip that meets precisely defined requirements.
