Regeneration instead of re-investment

Tried and tested method. In recent years, hydrochloric acid has replaced sulfuric acid in the pickling process. That’s because it produces better strip surface qualities and the treatment processes for the acid and the rinsing water are simpler. As a full liner, we supply acid regeneration plants featuring the practice-proven spray roasting method to go with our pickling lines.

Valuable recovery. Low investment and operating costs, a high degree of effectiveness, automatic processes and advanced, reliable technologies are the characteristics of our acid regeneration plants. The spray roasting method can be divided into three main steps: pre-concentration, roasting, absorption. This chemical and mechanical treatment involving the influence of heat and gases generates acid that can be used again. That closes the cycle – the acid is re-introduced into the pickling process and you need only tiny quantities of new acid.

Another product gained from the regeneration is iron oxide powder. This is automatically collected and used in the further processing industry e.g. as a raw material for laser printer toners and facade paint, or it is used in catalytic converters.
