Supamic filter plants. What makes our Supamic filter plants super is their ultra-fine filtration of rolling oils for cold rolling carbon and stainless steels and of drawing oils for wire rod production. They achieve an extremely high purification performance with their large number of Supafine filter elements. These modern filter elements are made of endless polyamide random fibers, and compressed air forces the oil through them. They are extremely durable and practically maintenance-free. No additional filtering agents are necessary, so there is little waste and the system meets the toughest environmental standards.
Chain-type magnetic separators. Typical of cold rolling and strip processing is that they generate ultra-fine ferritic particles that contaminate cooling lubricants or cleaning solutions. These tiny particles are also a problem in sinter water. The solution? Strong magnetic forces remove even the smallest abraded particles down to less than 1 micron. The magnetic rods fitted with permanent magnets are fixed to chains and continually drawn through the contaminated liquid. Unwanted particles stick to them, then a wiper device removes them and a screw conveyor transports them away.
Vacuum filters. These compact, low-cost facilities reliably purify cooling lubricants in rolling mills. The contaminated cooling lubricant is collected in a collecting tank and sucked by vacuum through a filter membrane placed on a perforated sheet. The membrane traps the impurities in the coolant. After the purification process, a scraper removes the used filter membrane and the pre-dried filter cake.
Concentration measurement. Cooling lubricants for rolling steel, aluminum and nonferrous metals usually consist of an oil-water mix with a 0.5 to 5 percent oil concentration. This must be kept constant to ensure a stable rolling process and high product quality. Our concentration measuring device constantly monitors the oil content and other key parameters such as the pH value and the conductivity in the cooling lubrication system. Should a discrepancy occur, the system automatically tops up the oil.
