Functions. To meet all your requirements, our secondary metallurgy treatment solutions provide these functions:
- Inflow of an inert stirring gas to homogenize the ladle contents
- Exact addition of alloying agents to achieve a high alloying agent yield and close tolerances in the chemical analysis
- Vacuum treatment to remove hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and finally also carbon
- Injection of powder substances, especially for desulfurization
- Charging of solid or filling wire that contains various powder substances for microalloying and to control inclusions and profile
- Heating of the liquid steel using electric power by means of graphite electrodes, or alternatively with chemical energy using the exothermal reaction between aluminum and oxygen
