The lowdown on long products
Quality consciousness. Steelworks committed to producing high-purity long products require very technically advanced refining technology. Included in this group of products are steels for bearings, springs, forging and tubes or high-alloy construction grades.
Quality solutions. Our ladle furnaces and tank degassing plants (with or without oxygen lances) are crucial investments that optimize your secondary metallurgical refining technologies for producing these pure steel grades. Whatever metallurgical processes you carry out – whether adjusting the chemical analysis, desulfurizing or deoxidizing the top slag – the temperature in the ladle furnace remains at the level you define and the process is supported by inert gas stirring. Further refining phases such as degassing and the removal of deoxidization products take place in our tank degassing plants.
