Customized design. You can choose from various process routes for smelting and refining stainless steel grades. The selection available to you depends on these factors: availability of raw materials, desired final product, existing works logistics and economic viability.

Reliable implementation. Generally speaking, stainless steel production can be divided into the DUPLEX and TRIPLEX operating modes. DUPLEX operation denotes the refining process that consists of smelting in an electric arc furnace followed by refining in a converter. Adding a VOD plant extends this process into a TRIPLEX refining route. This is necessary when you require a very low content of carbon, sulfur or nitrogen in the final product.
