X-Pact® offers you a holistic solution for your converter processes that calculates and controls the precise composition of the material. Our sophisticated process models are based on patented mathematic methods. They predict the exact course of the process as well as the process control of the converters for carbon and stainless steel. Our models support fault-free, fast decarburization as well as minimizing the treatment times in converter steel production. So you can rely on spot-on carbon contents, exact tapping temperatures and high availability of your converter. Optimized reduction of chromium slag during stainless steel production saves reduction agents and process gases, so it also saves you money.
Compact valve stations. Our low-maintenance valve stations stand out for their compact design. They optimally introduce the process gases during carbon and stainless steel production. That’s another way we meet your high demands on metallurgical process control.
Powerful drives. Years of SMS expertise also go into our drive systems. You will appreciate their multi-motor tilting drives as well as the intelligent control of the dynamic forces in the liquid steel bath over the entire speed range.
