Extensive application field. Submerged arc furnaces are mainly used for the production of ferroalloys. Additionally, the units produce calcium carbide (CaC2) and calcium silicon (CaSi) for secondary metallurgy in steel production. And finally, this technology is ideal for reprocessing / recycling residues from the iron and steel industry. Here is an overview of the main applications:

Reliable advice. Long before your first furnace campaign, we set off on our joint path toward your SAF solution. Our viability studies and financing schemes make sure you can count on an early return on investment and sustained successful operation. And we cooperate just as closely with you when it comes to the engineering, the erection and the commissioning – with steep run-up curves.

Qualified implementation. Our SAF spectrum is as varied as the market demands. To begin with, you choose the basic type of furnace – open, semi-open, closed or special type. Next, there is a range of customized designs, technologies and furnace performance rates. The various furnace charge systems, gas hoods, shells, electrode columns, roof designs and high-voltage supply systems give you a brief impression of the extensive options available. What all our solutions have in common are high reliability, quality and effectiveness coupled with optimal energy utilization.

Committed development. We not only carry out our own research work, but also cooperate closely with universities and specialist institutes around the globe. The knowledge we gain and the innovations that result from this are reflected in our product developments. So you can be sure you get the leading SAF technology from us now and in the future.
